I’ve Won an Education Industry Award—Now What? 5 Ways to Promote Your Award

December 9, 2016

By Jacob Hanson

Congratulations! Your organization has been recognized as a leader in your industry. Read below for five ways to use your award to turbocharge your marketing.

Winning Industry Awards

  1. Shout it from the rooftops.
Winning an education industry award is a big deal! Include the award logo in all of your marketing. Don’t forget your website, email templates, marketing collateral, and social media channels. In your marketing copy, be sure to call yourself an award-winning organization. You’ve earned it.

  1. Celebrate!
Have an internal celebration or meeting to announce the award. Your coworkers can be an asset in getting the word out. Encourage them to share the news, including on their social media platforms. Winning an award is a big deal for both the organization and the people who helped build it.

  1. Thank your customers.
Use the award as a way to touch base with your current customers. They will feel satisfied that they purchased a product on the rise, and you will have their attention. You can use the opportunity to tell them about an upcoming promotion, add-on package, or other marketing campaign that you are working to promote.

  1. Tell your prospects.
Hearing that you’ve been singled out for an award could be the extra push a prospective customer needs to purchase. Having industry experts and peers choose your organization as a leader is further proof of your value. Send a special email to your prospects to help move them through your sales pipeline.

  1. Network with your fellow winners.
After winning an award, your organization will likely be recognized in a ceremony or a similar gathering. Use the opportunity to network with other leaders in the industry. You never know what you may learn or who you may meet. A chance to develop relationships is invaluable, especially when you are representing the winning organization.
