Free online high school diploma program offers second chance for Arizona adults

13 News In Arizona, approximately 650,000 adults lack a high school diploma. With an increasing number of jobs requiring this, many are seeking opportunities to complete their education. A new program is aiming to bridge this education gap for adults in the state by offering a free path to earning a high school diploma. The program is funded by the Arizona State Legislature through June 2025.

Excel High School has partnered with Gale Cengage Learning to create a free, flexible online learning experience for Arizona residents aged 21 and older. Unlike traditional GED programs, this instructional course is tailored to accommodate people with busy jobs, families, and other responsibilities.
