What We Mean When We Talk About our ‘Client Family’

November 15, 2017

By: Chris Piehler

If you’ve read other PR with Panache! blog posts or spent any time on our website, you’ll notice that we often write about our “client family.” For us, this isn’t a catchphrase. It’s a two-word summary of how we embrace the ed tech industry and the commitment we have to the wonderful people we work with. Here’s why we call them our client family.

Client Family

They are at the center of our lives. Every article we write, every team meeting we have, every event we plan is inspired by our passion for meeting our clients’ needs. Yes, we offer prospective clients a list of services, but once they join the family they get more than our services—they get our people, who start by doing the most important thing that family members can do: listening. Speaking of which…

We always communicate with them clearly and openly. One of the joys of family is feeling free to tell the truth, even when the news isn’t so great. We may sometimes tell our clients things they’d rather not hear; we may sometimes have different points of view, but we can always talk it out and move forward together. Maybe that’s because…

We share common values and goals. One of the best things about working in the K-12 education field is that everyone, in the end, is striving to help kids learn. It’s a noble goal, and a bond that unites us with our client family. It also means that…

We have an emotional commitment to their success. We advise all of our clients to take a balanced, strategic approach to their work with us, but that doesn’t mean we are cold-blooded automatons. Quite the opposite: we share their frustrations, their disappointments, their victories, and their revelations. We are energized by the powerful bonds we build and…

We’re in it for the long haul. We love the fact that so many of our clients stay with us for years and years, and our client family extends beyond companies who are actively working with us. We connect with and help start-ups who may not be ready for PR or inbound marketing, and we stay in touch with everyone we’ve ever worked with. And when I “stay in touch” with our client family, I mean it literally, because…

We hug them every time we see them. What can I say? We love our client family, and we’re not afraid to show it.

Thanks for sharing!
