Dozens of educators kicked off their day at LEAD with a hot breakfast and the chance to discuss an even hotter topic: Common Core!

Lightspeed Technologies, a PRP client, sponsored the breakfast roundtable at the beautiful Music City Center in Nashville. As attendees arrived, they were divided into discussion groups and asked to share what’s working (and what’s not) in their classrooms when it comes to Common Core.

Lightspeed’s Flexcat classroom audio system was also on display, with an audio pod on each table. Lightspeed reps were monitoring the conversations at every table through the Flexcat headset. When the discussions concluded, each group was asked to share what they had learned through the Flexcat, allowing everyone in the room to hear even the quietest presenter loud and clear.

Attendees couldn’t stop raving about the format of the event. They loved the opportunity to hear from their colleagues, and everyone walked away with new resources to try in their own classrooms. Attendees also enjoyed the breakfast itself – the customizable grits bar was a big hit!

This breakfast had one of the highest turnout rates among people who RSVPed, including top officials from the state Department of Education and district representatives from all around the state.
