Education industry veteran Kym Humay has joined Mac to School as its Midwest regional director of educational partnerships. Kym has spent her entire career within the education industry, spending a number of years as a classroom teacher before moving into educational sales. She has a long history of developing strong, meaningful relationships with school and district decision makers at companies like Educational Resources, The Common Core Institute, Lexia Learning Systems, and, most recently, Scientific Learning.
Throughout her tenure in education, Kym's work has been recognized within the industry, having won numerous awards, including the CEO Award for Strategic Growth & Development and vendor award for Mobile presenters & interactive whiteboards. Kym graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education from the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, as well as studying Speech Communications with an emphasis on Public Relations and Organizational Communications at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois.
In her new role with Mac to School, Kym will be responsible for continuing to build relationships with educators across the Midwest and supporting school and district decision makers that are looking for a lower cost option to putting high quality technology in the hands of their students.
Kym is a member of the Illinois Association of School Superintendents (IASA), Illinois Principals Association (IPA), and the Illinois Computing Educators Association (ICE). In addition, she is affiliated with the National Association of Professional Women and Education Management Professionals.
