Lisette Gushiniere

Lisette relies on her experience as a journalist, radio producer, and public relations professional to develop objectives, key messages, strategies, and tactics for clients at PRP Group. Among her other responsibilities at the company, Lisette develops creative and impactful campaigns that help drive success for clients operating within the education market.

As a radio producer at WBEZ, the Chicago affiliate for National Public Radio (NPR) Lisette coordinated hundreds of radio programs covering a wide variety of issues ranging from subjects that covered education, politics, and entertainment. WBEZ was initially established as an extension service of the Chicago Board of Education in 1943. Today, it remains a part of NPR’s global news-gathering service, one of the most respected media organizations in the nation. 

Lisette has worked in various public relations roles including positions as Sports Information Director at Chicago State University, making her one of the few women to serve in this role on the Division I level. She also served as a Media Specialist for Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she handled media relations, serving as the law school’s primary point person for public relations.

Lisette is an alumna of Bradley University, where she graduated with a degree in Communications. She went on to pursue her education in law, receiving a Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law. Lisette’s passion for both communications and education was later realized when she taught news and technical writing courses at Chicago State University.

Lisette currently serves as a committee member for the Mississippi Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. Established by the Civil Rights Act of 1957 as an independent, bipartisan, fact-finding federal agency, the Commission’s mission is to inform the development of national civil rights policy and enhance enforcement of federal civil rights laws. As a pastime, Lisette enjoys gardening, spending time with family, and indulging her love of all things vintage.
