PR With Panache! To Share Data-Driven Approach to Marketing in EdNET 2017 Panel

EdNETLast month as part of our continuing EdNet 2017 coverage we brought you “4 Tips on Bringing Your EdTech Company to Market”. Some of that piece highlighted thoughts from PR With Panache’s Managing Director Jacob Hanson, who understands the intricacies of marketing to the education customer. Hanson and PR With Panache! will be presenting ““Don’t Crash the Party—Get Invited: Why a Disruptive Approach to Marketing Is No Longer Relevant.” The panel will take place on Monday, September 18, from 10:00–10:50 a.m.

The freewheeling conversation about why education companies need to shift their marketing strategy from a disruptive, seller-centric approach to a buyer-centric approach will offer insight from three esteemed panelists:

  • Dr. Stephanie Miller, the Superintendent of Congress School District #17 Arizona, whose district has been highlighted in various national publications for its accomplishments in science, technology, engineering, and math;
  • Jacob Hanson, managing partner of PRP; and
  • Emily Garner Sumner, the CEO of Underscore Creative.

Chris Piehler, the editorial director of PRP, will moderate the panel, which will kick off with a discussion of a recent national survey asking education decision-makers about their experiences with vendors.

“We surveyed education leaders around the country,” said Hanson, “and while they had positive comments, they also told us stories of some vendors who are too pushy, too impersonal, or simply don’t know how to partner with educators. Using this data as a starting point, we want to help marketers build or strengthen the collaborative relationships they need for long-term success in the education industry.”

Miller, Sumner, and Hanson will share their viewpoints on practical ways that companies can be partners to educators, and will provide attendees with clear action items to guide them.

EdNET is the leading education industry professional development and networking conference for K-12 publishers, entrepreneurs, vendors and suppliers, nonprofits, and philanthropists who develop, fund, and sell products and services to educators via U.S. public schools and districts.

Each year, industry executives plan the conference programming for industry leaders who will gather to share and learn from each other, exchange ideas, forge new partnerships, and discuss current trends and challenges affecting the U.S. education marketplace.

EdNET’s 2017 theme is “Connecting the Dots,” and the conference will tackle education policy, technology, marketing, and innovation. The conference will take place on September 17–19 at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch. Those interested in attending can learn more about EdNET 2017 here.
