FAIRMONT — The West Virginia Department of Education hopes its partnership with the Cook Center for Human Connection will provide parents and K-12 students who are searching for mental health services the resources they need.
West Virginia will be the first state to offer free access to ParentGuidance.org, an online resource designed to guide parents on how to tackle mental health challenges their kids face, as well as access to mental health workers for cases that require more hands on care.
Anne Brown, president and CEO of the Cook Center, said the state is facing a mental health crisis. K-12 students are no exception.
