Planware™ Launches ONPASS® Pro School District Planning Software

The complete rewrite of the flagship product helps district administrators make data-driven decisions about boundary, school capacity, and enrollment changes

(Morgan Hill, CA) Feb. 26, 2019 — Planware, a division of Educational Data Systems, today announced the launch of ONPASS^® Pro, the next generation of its flagship software product for gathering, storing, analyzing, and presenting demographic and geospatial data.

ONPASS Pro, a software extension of Esri’s ArcGIS Pro platform, uses geographic information systems (GIS) technology to empower school district administrators to view district data geospatially; examine the current demographics of their districts; and simulate the effects of boundary, school capacity, and enrollment changes.

The annual subscription to ONPASS Pro is delivered with an ArcGIS license so that it is up and running as soon as a user logs in. ONPASS Pro harnesses the power of GIS to help districts:

• Geocode and check the accuracy of student addresses contained in their student information system;
• Create geographic planning areas to make planning tasks more manageable;
• Assign students to a new school and reassign students when a school must be closed;
• Overlay external geospatial data such as assessor parcels and census bureau information to provide powerful analyses;
• Export data to other formats such as spreadsheets, PDF, and shapefiles; and
• Create maps for presentations, district master plans, and informational brochures.
