(Seattle, WA) October 4, 2017 – Getting Smart®, a mission-driven organization dedicated to accelerating and amplifying innovations in teaching and learning, today announced the Season 3 launch of the Getting Smart Podcast, a weekly podcast unpacking what’s new and innovative in education.
With episodes that include superintendent, principal, teacher and even student voices, the podcast provides members of the education industry with a weekly dose of “what’s hot” in education, covering a wide range of topics from project-based learning, design thinking and personalized learning to artificial intelligence (AI), educational pedagogy, social-emotional learning, using Minecraft in education and more.
“We want to shine a light on the educators and thought leaders making waves and changing the future of education right now,” said Tom Vander Ark, Getting Smart’s CEO. “The podcast is designed to dive deep into topics listeners care about as well as those new to them.”
To kickoff Season 3, members of the Getting Smart Team share thoughts on the following questions:
With answers ranging from microcredentials to formative assessment, the team shares interesting insights on education trends they’ve witnessed on their recent travels and school visits, as well as predictions for the future of education.
New episodes will air on Wednesdays on the Getting Smart website, along with a blog post that summarizes the interview.
